I'm the photographer behind J. Zappia Photography. I'll give you direction whenever you need it, and leave plenty of room for the natural moments in between — so you can simply feel like yourself in front of the camera.

You don’t have to know what to wear, where to go, or what to do in front of the camera—that’s what I’m here for. From choosing a location with beautiful light to helping you plan what to wear, I’ll guide you through every step so you can show up feeling prepared, comfortable, and completely yourself. And if you come to me with a vision already in mind, I want to hear it. I’ll do everything I can to honor what you’re imagining while bringing my experience and perspective to the process. If I don’t believe I’m the right photographer to bring that vision to life, I’ll tell you honestly. I’d rather help you make the right choice than promise something that isn’t true to the way I work. After your session, I’ll help you turn the images you love into something lasting—beautiful photographs made to be seen, held, and lived with.

We'll plan it together: Location, wardrobe, timing, inspiration, and the overall look of your session.
I'll give you direction: You never have to know how to pose or wonder what to do in front of the camera.
